EDC Las Vegas is one of the largest and most incredible music festivals on earth. And in 2014 I was asked to join the Insomniac Photo Team and attend my first EDCLV. For any photographer in the EDM world, EDC is the holy grail of photography jobs. Its size, scope and overall dynamic make it one of the most challenging and yet rewarding events to shoot. When I walked into Las Vegas Motor Speedway that year, I was overwhelmed at the thought of trying to capture this madness. 350,000 fans, 300 artists, the largest stage ever built in North America. How do you cover all that? Well here are my top selects from that year. Looking back, I know I would shoot it differently. But I’m grateful I had this opportunity to see this event and kickstart a continued relationship with Insomniac.
